Von all meinen Victorinox Messer ist dieses mittlerweile mein Favorit und täglicher Begleiter. Oft kommt eine Situation am Tag, in der man ein Werkzeug braucht, welches man heute nicht dabei hat. Das ist bei mir schon oft vorgekommen und ist echt Ärgerlich. Hier sind wirklich alle Werkzeuge dran die man in einer urbanen und/ oder ländlichen Umgebung benötigt. Als Vater von zwei Kindern mit einem alten Haus und Garten gibt es immer etwas zu tun wo man mal schnell Werkzeug braucht und nicht immer erst welches suchen oder holen möchte. Auch beruflich (Bau und Beschlagsbranche) leistete mir das Messer beinah täglich gute Dienste. Die Verarbeitung ist wie gewohnt tadellos alles sitzt es klappert nichts und alles greift schönen einander. Die Größe ist optimal um es in der Hosentasche zu tragen selbst bei Slim fit Jeans, Chinos oder im Anzug fällt es nicht negativ auf oder ist unbequem. Preisleistung kann ich nur empfehlen. Alles ist wie immer tadellos verarbeitet und von guter Qualität.

Kleiner Fun fact oder Nerd Wissen: wer ein Original Macgyver Messer sucht ist hier genau richtig. In den alten Serien hat er überwiegend ein Tinker und in dem reboot aus 2016 ist oft ein Tinker mit Zange zu sehen eben das Tinker Deluxe. somit ist es sowohl für die Alten als auch für die neuen Fans ein typisches Messer. Obwohl man ehrlicherweise dazu sagen muss dass in den einzelnen Folgen verschiedene Messer genutzt werden um unterschiedliche Probleme zu lösen.

Super Messer für den Alltag nach langem Testen

I had a Deluxe Tinker personalized. I am SO happy that I did.  I looked for a general purpose knife to include in my every day carry.  This is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
The screwdriver/ cap lifter also locks at 90’ as well as inline 180’ so I can get in some awkward positions.  All of the tools are easy to get to.  I am honored to carry such a wonderful knife as this.

Exactly what I wanted

Ein wirklich tolles Messer. Es hat so viele tolle Funktionen. Die Zange (war für mich das Hauptkriterium) ist für ihre Größe sehr gut zu gebrauchen. Für gröbere Arbeiten habe ich noch ein SwissTool, welches natürlich viel schwerer und klobiger ist, da sind dann aber auch Säge und Feile dabei. 
Aber das Deluxe Tinker habe ich immer in der Hosentasche dabei, man glaubt gar nicht wie oft man es rausholt und benutzt.
Die Qualität von Victorinox ist überragend. Kein Klappern oder Wackeln, alle Werkzeuge sind leichtgängig und schnappen fest auf bzw zu.
Ein Super - Produkt zu einem fairen Preis.

Bought as gift

I’ve owned a Swiss Army knife since I was a Tenderfoot in Boy Scouts I’ve never had one break that was being properly used. (You cannot use the knife blade as a pry bar), also don’t soak in alcohol, it will warp the plastic front and back, also don’t forget it’s in your pocket when going through an airport. My first knife I had to surrender to the German airport bag screeners because of this. 
The Deluxe Tinker is my favorite. It just seems to have the necessary tools for every situation. The most useful tool is the pliers, from plucking hairs to loosening a nut it will save the day. The size is also perfect, not too small but also not the brick in your pocket. Buy one you won’t regret it! Just do yourself a favor, don’t buy the knock off, it’s not worth it.

Le Deluxe Tinker fait partie de mon EDC depuis presque 2 ans et il ne se passe pas une semaine sans qu'il me soit utile. Il y a tous les outils indispensables pour une vie urbaine. En pleine nature, j'ai un Camper qui l'accompagne parfois mais le Deluxe Tinker ne me quitte jamais.
La taille contenue est parfaite pour le garder à la ceinture, il ne gène pas du tout.

I Sincerely wish that you would start putting a model number on each of your knives. 
It's actually very impossible to narrow down to a particular make or model number if you have seen it somewhere and wish to note the detail.
Lots of time is wasted in trying yo get to what you want, especially if you have to buy a gift for someone.

Meiner Meinung nach verleihen vor allem die Kombi-Zange und der Phillips-Schraubendreher 1/2 dem Deluxe Tinker bei gelegentlichen Reparaturarbeiten einen sehr hohen praktischen Nutzen. 

Dass Nonplusultra bei diesem Messer wäre natürlich noch eine zusätzliche Metallsäge/-feile samt Nagelreiniger/-feile sowie ein Schraubenzieher 2.5 mm auf der gegenübeliegenden Seite. 

Damit wäre dieses Taschenmesser für mich persönlich noch weitaus nützlicher als der Ranger und handlicher als der Handyman.

Nennen dürfte es sich dann "Mega Tinker" und preislich bei CHF 55.00 liegen.

Top, wie immer!

Ich nutze dieses Messer schon einige Monate.
Ich brauche es immer wieder im Haushalt und es erfüllt hervorragend seinen Zweck.
Zahnstocher, Schere, Zange, Schraubendreher, Öffner für Einweckgläser oder Brieföffner.

Ein ausgezeichneter Helfer

I have over 16 SAK's and this one leaves the house with me the most.  I love my Tinker but this has pliers and scissors.  I have not used the hook but I know I will fine a use for it some day.  The function and fit of all the tools included in this knife makes me never want anything more.  I have had over 200 various pocket knives and I'm planning to sell them all this year at our annual yard sale.  I'm keeping my SAK collection and the rest are going.  In my collecting knives for over 35 years I have found that all you need a SAK.   No matter what your need is, you can find a perfect fit with a SAK.  The Deluxe Tinker is the best EDC in my option.  The only thing I would has for is Alox scales and a locking blade.

Very happy with my first ever Swiss Army Knife. It is the thinnest knife within the range that has the pliers, scissors and philips screwdriver, which are the tools I mostly need. It has served many handy tasks and I'm sure it'll continue to do so for a long while. Built to last.

Best medium sized Swiss Army Knife

I owned the Victorinox Mechanic for decades. I always said that the pliers were more handy than the scissors, and I was right. But I recently decided, "Why choose between one or the other?" Just get both! My reward: the multifunction hook! It's a win-win decision for me. I gifted my Mechanic to my son.

This has made me very popular in may college.Deluxe Tinker is probably the best swiss army knife at its price , the piler & the philips screwdriver are very important addition. i bought this knife during my visit to Switzerland in 2014.ever since then it has always been on me as it is the perfect knife for both outdoor and edc .its not to big nor to small.the fact that it even has pliers makes it so much more useful.

I have carried this knife ever since it was produced. When one breaks or gets lost, I never think about changing to a different configuration. This is my third since the '70s.

The Philips head T-driver is one of the most-used tools, followed by the scissors. While I love the large blade with it's serrated area, it's the small blade that usually gets the odd jobs - opening packages, trimming loose wires or netting in the Network Operations Center, or cutting through the cable ties. The pliers get a full workout in the NOC as well, with everything from pulling tight cables through stress collars to crimping larger BNC connectors or loosening bolts.

And the tweezers and toothpick aren't far from the top of the list, either. Great arrangement of highly practical and useful tools for the 21st century adventurer.

Es gibt genau 2 Messer die ich immer dabei habe. Das Trailmaster und das Deluxe Tinker.
Dieses kleine rote mit der Zange ist super verarbeitet. Mein treuer Begleiter in allen Lebenslagen. Das kleine Hosentaschenmesser hilft mit seinen Werkzeugen viel weiter. Täglich im Einsatz und immer noch top funktional. Nichts wackelt, kein Klingenspiel, die Schere ist immer noch sau scharf. Die Schere und die Zange waren der Grund weshalb ich mich für dieses Messer entschieden habe. Als Backup bzw in Kombination mit dem Trailmaster unschlagbar !!!

EDC, nie mehr ohne !!!

I got this for my work EDC and has surpassed my expectations. This thing is great. Not too heavy and has everything I need for my work.

One think I dont understand is, why is there a hole for a needle, but dosnt come with it.

Also a note to Victorinox: it would be nice if the knifes could be shipped in a plastic bag within the box. The scales were very scratched when I received it.

Used for my work EDC

Bought this knive to support my other knives like champion b and automobile. Main reason to choose this specific knife was the pliers. This tool is great in use and basically the only tool which I have been missing.

I can recommend tjis knie to everyone because it has almost every needed tools in it.

Great daily usage knife

I used a Fieldmaster before I bought this one and decided that I needed something more suited towards urban utility.
The pliers are great when it comes to grabbing and gripping in tight places and with small things. If you were to consider one of the cybertools they would be perfect for electronics. They have a pretty solid feel overall, though the wire cutters would be only for the smallest of cutting. They aren't necessarily first choice pliers when it comes to pliers in general, however they are an implement I wouldn't want to be caught without in a tight situation. The tool itself has a good feel in the hand and at what is essentially five layers, it still has a comfortable positioning with the large blade.

Great basic EDC tool.

A few days ago I surfed the Victorinox website to look for 91 mm knife which is right to be my every day carry. It must be light , small but still functional in everyday life in urban areas, especially on trips and in the office.

Earlier I used to bring my Swisschamp or the Workchamp, but the two are a bit too big to carry everyday except when I have to work in the field. So I am looking for something that has the most basic functions in one package.

Lucky me! Victorinox provide the most appropriate combination at the Deluxe Tinker. The tools I use most often such as knives and scissors are there and still there is a pliers to pull out the fuse in the car. And the phillips screwdriver that I can use to open the computer case, tighten loose bolts and much more.

Deluxe Tinker is perfect for me! Lightweight, small but proved to be very helpful to me in everyday life. Glad to have this one.

this knife is a great small pocket knife. had it about 3 years and has been one of the best knives ive ever had.

good all rounder

I had this one for couple months now and i have to say i favor it over my Fieldmaster and Mechanic knives because i never used the saw in urban environment and i need to use the scissors very often.
The pliers are not the best you can get on multitools these days, but are very good quality and very sturdy, cutter and wire crimper can handle cables only up to 1.5mm thickness so its only good for small electrical appliances like PCs and so.
I am happy that there is a phillips screwdriver on it instead of the usual corkscrew as i need and use the screwdriver a lot, but i am not a wine drinker really.
With the thickness its actually a 5 layer knife, but it does fit all 91mm 2-4 layer pouches and that is a big plus on it, this is the most compact and useful urban multitool i have.
I just wish the wire cutters would be bigger, but i use them a lot in my car and on PCs and they seem to be enough for my everyday needs.
I used to have my Fielmaster for everyday carry, but i use this one now since i need pliers a lot more than a saw and this is actually the only difference between those two knives and the Deluxe Tinker is slightly thicker.
If you are looking for a compact affordable high quality multitool, then this is your answer, the Deluxe Tinker is perfect for most everyday urban situations. I have 10 Victorinoxes so far and this is my no.1
And i wish there would be the chisel instead of the multipurpose hook

Good size, great tool choice

I bought this knife at my local hardware store to use as a "woodsman's buddy" along with a Zermatt pouch and Swiss Gear belt. The scissors were sharp right out of the box. The can opener opens cans with little effort. The bottle opener opens jars too! The #2 Philips grips screws very well. Overall, I find this to be a very useful and sturdy tool.

J'ai acheté ce couteau depuis deux mois et je suis entièrement satisfait de son port quotidien à ma ceinture.

This is a great all-purpose knife for use around the home; although it doesn't have a corkscrew (not really needed, as we have one elsewhere), it has everything you need for emergency DIY/parcel opening/mending/screw-tightening, etc. This is just one of five Victorinox knives/tools I own.

A great all-purpose knife

Me paraba todos los días en los mostradores a ver los productos Vixtorinox, a los cuales quería acceder desde niño pero nunca di el paso necesario para comprarlos. Los quería pero no me daba el gusto. Un día cualquiera como regalo de navidad la mama de mis hijos, mi ex esposa, me regalo esta navaja pues conocía mis gustos por las navajas suizas. Desde entonces han transcurrido 6 años y aunque la navaja sufrió un ataque de mi perro, se encuentra en buenas condiciones. Claro estoy buscando donde repararle los plásticos que están mordisqueados y recuperar la pequeña pinza como el palillo de plástico, pero por lo demás conserva su afilado tal cual el primer día y la utilizo a diario! Excelente producto!

One of my favorite swiss-army knives.
This pocket knife is well balanced between functionality and size (thickness). It offers you all the basics you expect from a pocket knife and gives you some extras for a "handyman" that sleeps in each of us.

It is a very good product and i like to have it with me all the time but to make this review fair i need to mention some flaws. In my humble opinion there are few things that could make this officer's knife even better.

The wire cutter - overall pliers design is very nice and it's a great tool however in my opinion the wire cuter is a bit to small, measuring only 1.75mm wide and around 1.5mm deep. It could be a bit bigger.

The small blade - it's a good blade... well, if you need it. I think it's kind of redundant with the big blade already there and being moderately small compared to normal knives. It would be a very good idea to replace it for example with a nailfile (with nail cleaner or smaller flat head screwdriver).

Philips screwdriver - while a very useful tool the location is somewhat odd. I would rather expect it to extend the line of the body while it opens perpendicular to it making it difficult to undo some screws in confined spaces.

Deluxe Tinker is a must-have for every handyman. I recommend it to everyone who like to tinker wherever they are.
