WOW. Obwohl eher Sammlerstück, so kann man es tatsächlich auch benutzen. Vor allem die Wellenschliffklinge hat Biss. Gut, einige Funktionen sind ähnlich und der kleine SD ist echt doppelt. Egal, das Ding hat was. Über die Qualität muss nichts gesagt werden. Ich kenne kaum Besseres.

I don't understand, with so many items, why Victorinox double up on the tools just to add to the number?   I mean do we really need TWO hooks? or two knifes of the same size? a couple of awls, why? Isn't the Metal File and the Nail file the same one?  i like a Champ with completely different Items in it.     As for the Packaging , it baffles my mind the people who complain about packaging. I mean are you really going to use the packaging or are you going to toss it in the garbage after you receive the knife?  Who cares about Packaging as long as the knife is good. If they start putting all this money into packaging WHO do you think will have to pay for it? YES us, the people who actually USE our knifes and don't just place them on display like a trinket. This will cause an affordable, good quality knife, to become another  over priced knife, because of all you " package divas" and your love of pretty boxes.

Très satisfait d’avoir enfin ce couteau mais je ne l’aurais pas acheté si j’avais fait attention aux autres avis.

Le couteau est superbe mais l’emballage est littéralement MINABLE!

Look the XXL is okay as a knife. But it's not a new model, it's simply the XAVT without the screen, that's all. Victorinox needs to design something much more interesting. 72 functions is a weird number. We need a model with 100 functions. Also, the plain red scales are a bit dated and we need different scales on the XXL to make it stand out.
Packaging would have only cost 2 Swiss francs to make. Just a cheap cardboard box with foam insert and XXL written in white on a light grey background, so the model name doesn't really stand out. The cardboard packaging is Swiss made, whereas the watch box packaging was Made in China. Your biggest model XXL needs better thought out packaging, and your project team needs to redesign the XXL. 
A secret source at Victorinox has told me that the XXL is not a top seller for Victorinox. It's certainly not a model for knife collectors as it is presented to the consumer in a cheap cardboard box.
In the Victorinox reviews, the XXL, if it was any good, would be getting 5 stars. It gets a lot of one and two stars, very disappointed ☹️

Poor Quality Packaging

The knife is as expected.... The top of the line 91mm model with almost all the tools Victorinox has to offer. HOWEVER, the packaging is now a simple cardboard box!!!! The earlier XXL and discontinued XAVT came in a presentation flip open box like one would get with a good watch. That Victorinox can ship their flagship model in such unflattering packaging is beyond my understanding and very disappointing. My online vendor neglected to change the photo; otherwise I may very well not have made this very expensive purchase... It appears that the XAVT Leather Case is also discontinued as it is not listed on this website, so I don't really know what to keep this monster in, but it certainly won't be a crappy cardboard box....

Victorinox sollte sich schämen, sein Spitzenprodukt so abgewertet zu haben!!!!!

Le couteau de collection le plus splendide !
Bien sûr il est impossible de le porter à la ceinture, même avec un étui.
D'ailleurs il n'est pas fait pour ça : c'est une pièce de collection.
Chaque fois que je passe devant sa boite, ouverte, je me dis que le savoir-faire de Victorinox est fabuleux.

I haven't got a bad word to say about the Swiss Champ XXL, I love all of its 70+ tools, I've found the LED torch very helpful, as well as the scissors, and the Wrench, and the Socket tools. 

Each of the tools are easy to bring in to use, and easy to close back into place, and also very easy to keep clean. 

I do wish it had come with a complementary Storage Pouch.

An Outstanding Swiss Champ

Als Sammler einfach ein muss. Wäre schön, wenn es ein noch grösseres Model gäbe.

Tools too tight, Difficult to Open

Well a lot of well thought out is put into the design and construction of this knife, suppling you with a tool for almost anything you need HOWEVER the most important thing is being able to access the tool you need, it is very difficult to pull open / lift up the blade or tool you need, surely your design people could sought out this simple design fault.... especially considering the cost £300 .00 plus.Hence in my opinion the rating I give this product 3 out of 5.

Swiss champ XX

New Model XXL.

Cannot understand why Victorinox has discontinued the XAVT. The "New" Replacement, the XXL with plain red scales has 7 less functions compared to the XAVT. Victorinox obviously now does not feel that electronic parts should be on a Swiss Penknife ? Not very exciting this new model, looks like tools are duplicated when you look at the photos ? Is the presentation box it comes in, Made in China ? If so, it should be Made in Switzerland, like the knife ?? The grey cardboard boxes you use for the Swiss Champ etc are Swiss Made. The XAVT was a much better, more interesting collectors knife. Why is the XXL 120CHF cheaper than the XAVT ?? The XAVT was CHF 449 and the New model XXL is only CHF 329. Victorinox has taken a step back ?? How many months did it take Victorinox to design the XXL ?? Has Victorinox made a Leather Pouch to fit the new XXL ?? Check out the Internet on various Knife Forums, the XXL is not getting good feedback. Will the XLT be the next knife to discontinue ?  Why does the XXL have normal red scales. Transparent red or Silver or plain green or plain black would have been a different or more interesting choice for the scales ?

Zugegeben, als "Taschen"-Messer nicht sehr geeignet, aber ein "Must Have", das in keiner Sammlung von Victorinox-Taschenmessern fehlen darf!
