Quite small

Degree underwhelmed by the 58mm length

In terms of functionality vs cost, the Rally is excellent. It's so small and light it easily works on a keychain, and makes a cute gift. In hindsight, however, I wish I'd got the Rambler because scissors can be useful, and the layout of the tools is better (my Rally file has scratched against the blade due to its position when opening).

Awesome knife, will be very useful, but, something I did not consider before buying is where the key ring is placed on the knife, mine is going on a bunch of keys, so having the key ring on the side the blade opens is a bit of a pain, when opened the key ring holder becomes the centre and is awkward to hold, looking at the “Escort” knife, the key ring is on the opposite side to the blade which means when open, the key ring is at the back of the knife so you have the full length of the handle/blade, little niggle, but worth pointing out, in reality I would have been better getting the Escort model, only got this one as it had the bottle opener,  Live and learn

Think before you buy

The Rally is a super light and useful mini knife for the daily use. I have multiple Swiss Army knifes, but rarely use the scissors - that is when the Rally shows its strength. In particular I love the option to open bottles as well as the light weight.

Best allrounder

Such a durable and useful I have been using mine for quite a while and i'm always excited to use it wether its tightening a small screw down or opening a fresh bottle of Topo Chico. I also own the classic SD and both of them work great. I really recommend this knife.

Amazing knife

almost perfect. Only scissors are missing, but we have a Rambler for that.

This is a knife that I have been carrying for over 10 years and it is by far my favorite model. The screwdriver/bottle opener has "saved the day" countless times for me. I think it is the most underrated knife produced by Victorinox

Ich habe mir dieses Messer 2017 gekauft und ist bis heute ein treuer Begleiter. Der mir schon in einigen Situationen sehr weiter geholfen hat. Die Verarbeitung ist wie erwartet Perfekt, das Messer musste ich noch nicht einmal nachschleifen. Obwohl ich es wöchentlich nutze.
Es ist perfekt für ein Schlüsselbund geeignet, so hat man immer das nötigste dabei.

I love my little Rally!  It's perfect for cycling, hiking and general use.  I keep it on a keychain with a nail clipper.  I may have to buy that next!

The Rally was my first SAK, and I bought it specially because it is cheap, usefull and has the high quality that Victorinox is known for. I reallized that the scissor of an Classic wasn't more needed than the magnetic Philips screwdriver and bottle opener, plus the blade is so sharp that can do almost all of my cutting necessities.
Everyday I use at least one of the tools and I'm very satisfied.

Great for my everyday needs

The small sized Swiss army knives by Victorinox are not your quintessential pocket knives, but more or less key-chain tools that you can put in your key-ring and use when anything else is not available. Classic SD has been the most popular version in this realm, but I see myself rooting for the Rally as a more useful key-chain SAK.

The SAK itself has a small blade - about 1.5" in length and can be sharpened quite quickly at a 20 degree angle on a sharpener. The magnetic Philips driver is the right fit for most sunglasses and spectacles which is a very nice thing to have around. I am not sure i would be using the nail-file much, other than using it as a prying tool. The tweezers and toothpick reaffirm this knife's civilian status.

Basically this is a Classic SD with the combo Philips / cap lifter replacing the scissors. I personally find this more useful because i would rather prefer the bigger scissors on my Pioneer X or Climber to the Classic SD's mini scissors for any cutting needs. The Philips driver is really useful for smaller tasks like repairing spectacles which the bigger multi-tools and SAKs would need a specialised add-on tool for.

For the price, nothing like this little fella. 5 stars!

Better than Classic SD - From a certain Point of View

The rally is a Victorinox model I simply love. It is very small, so I attached it to my keychain. The blade is sharp and I use the screwdriver often to open the battery compartments of my daughter's toys. I wished it existed in an alox version, as the plastic can wear somewhat after a while.
This tool is that small that I cary it all the time with me, but it is still useful.

Little useful tool

I picked up a 2 pack of these for $20 near my house, one for me, one for my wife. They are a great size, fitting on a keychain perfectly without adding a lot of bulk. I have only had it for a week, but have used it every day so far. It would be nice to have the scissors, but like the other reviewer said, the knife does a good job on it's own. The only down side I have experienced so far is that the handle is starting to crack a little already. Might just be mine, but I still love it.

Excellent small Swiss!

As hobby hunter, I've allready the champ and the rucksack, both masters, but for all day and all environment carrying and functionality, but as I went through the vic site in the web, I saw the rally, it was love in first second)). As executive, I pass with it in even institutions with security control, because its soo small, it is not recognised as security treath. I is excellent for every day tool need and especially the cap lifter with magnet Phillips screwdriver and wire stripper is a champ for its own. I dont miss the scissors because I can mannage it with the blade which could be a bit stronger, but I've no problem with it, it is really sharp. For me the rally is the best vic for all day use.
