My Husband had the wish of a new simple and handy Knive, so that was what I would only find in Victorinox. Especially the quality makes a huge difference!!

My only complaint is that the handle of the knife feels kinda cheap. It's fairly thin plastic and not very heavy. The red logo seems like it's going to be scratched off without much effort.
    Otherwise the knife is well made. Opening and closing it is a bit stiff but I imagine with some use that will change. 
    Shipping was UPS and it took a week to arrive. All in all I feel that the knife is a bit over-priced. What I paid after everything seems at least $5 too much. A coupon code or some kinda discount would have been great.

Decent knife

i was really hyped for a locking germany legal knife, especially from victorinox, sadly the blade stands above the handle just enough to easily open and lock it one handed (which is confusing since the blade doesnt do so on other big knife models). my model was poorly sharpened, the locking mechanism standing above the handle aswell makes the ergonomics quite poor with a smaller than expected blade. the centering is... not, but im pretty sure thats intended as if there was still a layer next to it, so cant complain there. and yet i love the looks enough to use it, as always i ordered a toothpick, tweezer and lanyard in fitting colours along with it.

The knife is not too small nor too big. Just perfect. The weight is so light, doesn't matter the size. It can be barely felt in the hands. Beautiful black finish with a classical red/white Victorinox logo. Locking mechanism, also can be set at 90 degree angle just before folding it fully. Knife has a tootpick and tweezers at the end of the handle. Comes extremely razor sharp straight out of the box. Maintenance is minimal and easy. Outstanding and traditional Swiss quality.

Das Messer wird in einer hervorragenden Schärfe ausgeliefert. Durch die Bauweise passte es in jede Hosentasche und ist ein idealer Begleiter für unterwegs.  Das Messer steckt so einiges weg. Neben dem üblichen Gebrauch beim Wandern kann man es beim Angeln benutzen um z.B. Ködermaterial aus Totholz herauszuheben, Fische ausnehmen oder um im Bogensport "verschossene" Pfeile aus dem Holz zu Hebeln. Da wackelt nichts, da verbiegt oder bricht nichts. Man kann mit dem Messer hervorragend Schnitzen und somit feine Arbeiten im Outdoor Bereich erledigen.  Ein rundum gelungener Allrounder den ich nicht mehr missen möchte und als als Zweihandmesser in Deutschland auch §42a konform.

Sehr nützliches Messer

Die konsequente Bauweise mit den „hohlen“ aber stabilen Griffschalen zahlt sich positiv beim Gewicht aus.
Das Victorinox Sentinel ist für ein Messer seiner Größe angenehm leicht ... vergleichbar mit einem Messer gleicher Größe mit
Titangriffschalen (z. B. wie das PumaTec Titan) ... aber preislich 75 % günstiger.
Ach ja ... das Klingenfach ist auf der Seite mit dem LinerLock aus Edelstahl und auf der anderen Seite aus Alu, ... auch das spart Gewicht.
Keinerlei Wackeln der Klinge, alles sitzt sehr fest, ... die Klinge sitzt zudem angenehm mittig im Klingenfach.
Sowohl beim Öffnen, als auch beim Schließen des Messers rastet die Klinge in „Sicherheitsstellung“ bei 90 Grad ein, somit ist der Schließvorgang äußerst sicher, ... keine Gefahr, sich versehentlich beim Schließen die Klinge auf die Finger zu klappen.
Wer den BackLock lieber mag, als den LinerLock sei bitte darauf hingewiesen, dass auch dies dem Gewicht geschuldet ist ... der LinerLock braucht halt etwas weniger Material.
Sehr gut konstruiert und durchdacht alles.
Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist perfekt und die Klingenschärfe sehr gut (die Schärfe ist genauso herausragend gut wie beim Victorinox Hunter Pro Alox rot).
Trotz der Größe ein Messer, welches leicht genug für die Hosentasche ist und zudem OHNE Kanten, welche beim Tragen in der Hosentasche störend wäre.

Leicht und trotzdem massiv

Ich habe heute mein Victorinox Sentinel Black erhalten. Schneller Versand, scharfe Klinge, keinerlei Kratzer. Leider ist der Klingenstand derart unsymetrisch, dass man es gerade noch schließen kann. Schade und sicherlich ein Ausreißer.

This knife by far exceeded my expectations, I spend 90percent of my time in the bush either trapping fur or hunting for meet.Or both.As you could imagine over time I have lost my fear share of gear aswell as broken a number of items in my kit..BUt i spend more money on replacing pocket knives than any other bit of equipment..I purchased my victoranox by chance as my local hunting outlet didnt have my usal brand in stock so I had to look for a alternitive. The sentinel cought my attention as it had a pocket clip wich to date has saved me a few dollars on replacing lost knives, But the quality of this tool by far exceeded my expectaions. Out of the box it literally shaved the hairs on my arm. I have skind countless possums&Rabbits.a couple of goats an a couple of sheep a deer the list goes on.I have even used my trusty victoranox to process animals when i havent been able to find my freezing work knifes..And this little beauty was more than up to the task of giving me nice clean precission cuts all that was required was the occassional touch up on the steel..importantly the blade locking mechisim has not let me down and for those of us that use knives of the folding variety been able to trust the blade lock is of the upmost of importants. I think the sentinel is a great little tool and one hard work horse..I will most certainly be purcahsing a couple more as gifts and another as a spare incase i lose my current...all in all what a great knife the sentinel is....Thanks victornox for produceing such a high quality dpendible tool at such an affordible price
